Three charities to benefit from gospel concert

PORT ANGELES — Peninsula Men’s Gospel Singers will perform for a benefit concert at 3 p.m. Sunday.

The annual concert is at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 301 E. Lopez Ave.

Admission is free. All donations will be split between Obria Pacific NW, Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County and the Ramen Shop in Sequim.

The concert closes out the group’s 2023-2024 season of presenting sacred concerts and programs at retirement homes, community centers, local churches, festivals and the Clallam Bay prison.

“This annual benefit concert is not just a culmination of our performance season but a celebration of community, compassion and generosity,” said Roger Dickson, president of the Peninsula Men’s Gospel Singers. “We invite everyone to join us for an afternoon of uplifting Gospel music, knowing that their support will directly impact and enrich the lives of individuals and families within our community.”

Through the universal language of music and heartfelt testimony, the Peninsula Men’s Gospel Singers shares its message of faith, love and redemption.

As part of their commitment to giving back to the community, the group has selected three charities to donate the proceeds of this concert to:

• Obria Pacific NW, which provides pregnancy services, education and resources to individuals across the North Olympic Peninsula.

• Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County, which has provided compassionate end-of-life care, support and resources to patients and their families from Diamond Point to Joyce for the past 45 years.

• The Ramen Shop of Sequim, which is a community-driven eatery providing meals to all, regardless of their ability to pay.
